Our History
Millennium Electrical was founded in 1999 by our Managing Director, Neil Green. With two decades of experience in the commercial electrical service sector, Neil’s vision was to establish a world-class business that offered a complete range of electrical services to the industrial and commercial sectors. In our early years, we focused on providing electrical for the industrial sector and our success in this field allowed us to expand into commercial installation and contracting services. Today, Neil’s vision has been well and truly realised as Millennium Electrical is one of the largest companies of its kind in New Zealand, with offices in Christchurch and Auckland and projects completed across the whole of New Zealand.
Over the last 20+ years, Millennium Electrical has successfully completed significant projects, across many sectors including infrastructure, telco and commercial. These include being involved with the Central Plains Water Irrigation Scheme, installing the lighting on the iconic Memorial Avenue overbridge, as well as all the electrical and lighting work on the new Museum and Council Offices on the Chatham Islands – which required comprehensive planning and logistics.
