This project started off with a request for tender on the supply and installation of cabling and outdoor kiosks to supply power to and house the CCTV equipment for the new Rolleston Town Centre car parks. This evolved into a request for tender for the Electrical installation of the new Youth zone comprising of a new outdoor main switchboard, area lighting and power, more CCTV and WIFI.

Complexity Managed
A very damp and rainy season made for some interesting conditions to install cables and materials on this rugged site that used to be a rugby field. Coordination with various contractors was vital in executing each phase of the project to avoid delays. Layer works (civil), concrete works, landscaping, and the Selwyn District Council were but a few of the major players to coordinate with over the course of the project.
Project Outcomes
This park is in daily use by the local Youth and the successful events that have already taken place there is proof of a well-executed project.
